Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart Affair Lasted for Months, Relatives Claim

It was a one-time mistake. That's the line Kristen Stewart is hoping will keep Robert Pattinson from leaving her, although early indications don't bode very well for the future of Robsten.

But is that claim even valid? Did Stewart really just make out with Rupert Sanders for a few fleeting moments? Or was this affair far more drawn out and calculating?

Relatives of the Snow White and the Huntsman director say it's the latter. They cite a photo of Sanders and Stewart in Berlin on May 15 as evidence, with Sanders' brother-in-law  telling People UK of the cheating:

"It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week.”

Whether it lasted for one minute or one month, what would prompt Kristen to do such a thing? Jealously, insiders allege.

Pattinson supposedly grew especially close to Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin and, even if nothing romantic was ever rumored between the pair, Stewart reportedly took issue with the relationship.

“She found it difficult to cope with Robert being close friends with another woman," a source tells the publication. "As their friendship grew, she ­became more envious to the point that she would be very upset."

Going forward, Pattinson and Stewart will be faced with issues beyond the personal. On a professional front, they are scheduled to begin promotion for Breaking Dawn Part 2 in October.

But "Robert won’t see Kristen and is refusing to do any joint ­personal appearances with her," this source adds. "This is a potential nightmare for all involved."

Following his Gold Medal-winning performance in the 400 Individual Medley (which was followed by Lochte getting outkicked on the anchor lap of his team's relay yesterday), the athlete has positioned himself as the American face of these London Games.

And women around the country are yearning to know: is anyone out there sucking that face?

The answer appears to be a strong... maybe. According to The Brisbane Times, Lochte and Australian swimmer Blair Evans were spotted getting awfully chummy during training last week. They reportedly touched hands under the water and left together for the Olympic village.

And we all know what goes down in the Olympic Village, right, Hope Solo?!?

Kirk and Anne Douglas are our Heroes

Who doesn’t love Kirk Douglas? He’s the greatest. Three time Oscar nominee Kirk is a hero. He’s recovered mightily from a stroke, has written several books. At 95, he’s a role model. He and his wife Anne gave $990,000 to charities last year, worthy causes, from their Douglas Charitable Foundation. It’s all good. Now he and Anne have pledged to leave $50 million to five charities, including the Alzheimer’s Wing at the Motion Picture Home.

But where does the money come from? Good investments. The Foundation, according to its Form 990 from 2010, had over $19 million in total assets. Most of that was from stock. But yikes–the stock is typically American and not very politically correct. In a way, the Douglas Foundation has been like Robin Hood–taking from the rich and giving to the needy.

The Douglas Foundation’s largest assets, at least on December 31, 2010, were from the Big Tobacco and Big Oil. They claimed market values of $4,5 for Philip Morris, and $2 million more from Altria Group, making essentially two investments in Big Tobacco as Altria owns Philips Morris USA while the international Philip Morris is a separate entity with a robust stock price of $90 a share as Friday. The Foundation’s other largest holdings were from Chevron ($1 million) and Exxon ($2 million). There’s also about $700,000 in market value from Royal Dutch Petroleum and another $500,000 from Concoco.

These are the same companies and stocks the Foundation had in 2008 and 2009. And they’ve increased in value. So at least the Foundation is getting good investment advice.

The Foundation also paid Kirk and Anne’s son, Peter, a salary of $115,000 a year– for 17 hours’ worth of work as president. In 2008, the salary was only $50,000, so that’s a nice raise. As Matthew Broderick sings on Broadway, “Nice work if you can get it.”

The Dark Night Rises continues to dominate the Box Office

In the next couple days you’re going to hear a lot about how the Aurora, Colorado shootings had some kind of negative effect on the box office this weekend. You’re going to hear about how The Dark Knight Rises is some kind of disappointment and that it surely left money on the table due to the aftermath of said mass murder. So without getting too pompous about discrediting such malarky, let’s get something out of the way right now. After ten days, The Dark Knight Rises has earned $289 million. That’s the third-best ten-day total of all-time behind only The Dark Knight ($313 million) and The Avengers ($373 million) and a good $10 million ahead of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II ($373 million) without the 3D advantage. Yes, the third Batman sequel dropped 60% from last weekend, but it still earned $64 million in weekend two, the sixth-biggest second weekend of all-time (The Dark Knight earned $75 million in weekend two, a 53% drop).

In short, the threequel is playing like a normal insanely anticipated but also heavily front-loaded genre sequel that has its fan-base firmly entrenched without picking up many new viewers this time around. In other words, it’s playing a bit like a Harry Potter/Twilight sequel. The Dark Knight Rises merely isn’t the pure phenomenon that The Dark Knight was, and anyone that told you it would be was probably delusional or lying. The Dark Knight was an event. The Dark Knight Rises is just a heavily-anticipated genre sequel.

Lea Michele talks fourth season of ‘Glee’

Fans can barely wait for the fourth season of ‘Glee’ to start, so Lea Michele is dishing a bit about the upcoming season.

Lea Michele recently revealed to Parade.com that there will be many fun things to look forward to this season, states Kitsap Sun. “We’re doing a Britney Spears tribute episode,” Lea Michele commented.

She also revealed that the show will go through a bit of a change: “You’re going to see the kids still in high school, and every episode as of now seems as if it’s just going to be the two storylines: me in New York City and the kids still in high school.”

Lea Michele also revealed one celebrity’s role on the show: “I love that Rachel’s in New York. She’s taking classes in college and Kate Hudson plays my teacher.”

It looks like fans might just get what they want as it sounds like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are collaborating on her upcoming album.
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am recently revealed that Bieber played him a song he wrote for Gomez, states MTV. “The song was dope. He was like, ‘Yeah, I wrote it for Selena. It’s great.’ And it was really awesome,” will.i.am said

Gomez recently opened up about working hard on her next album as she wants it to be something special.

Opening Ceremony London 2012: Chariots of Fire! Harry Potter! The Queen and James Bond!

The 2012 Summer Olympics kicked off in grand style last night, as a $42 million Opening Ceremony featured The Queen as a James Bond Girl, Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean and a whole lot more.

Among the highlights of the three-and-a-half hour event:

• Dozens of Mary Poppins floating down from the sky.
• Queen Elizabeth and Daniel Craig shared a big screen scene, marking the latter's acting debut.
• Atkinson (above) got himself involved in the iconic Chariots of Fire scene, actually running on the beach with the stars of that movie (technology rules!).
• A grass infield with countryside with sheepdogs, horses and ducks turned into an industrialized city with smokestacks, representing how far England has come.
• Seven billion pieces of paper were actually dropped on to the athletes, representing every human on the planet.
• Voldemort stopped by.
• And seven young people lit the Olympic Flame in an exciting, emotional climax.

The London Olympics will now air on NBC and many of its cable affiliates over the next two weeks. Best of luck to all participants. Go USA!

Katy Perry and John Mayer: Cuddling Alert !!

Katy Perry may have snared herself a douchebag.

According to the latest issue of Us Weekly, the female singer was spotted out and about in West Hollywood the other man... with notorious ladies man and supposedly soulful singer John Mayer!

"They were affectionate, holding hands and cuddling," a witness says of Perry and Mayer, who spent time at SoHo House on June 19.

The following evening, Perry allegedly then shared pizza with Mayer at her home.

This coupling really should not come as a surprise. Perry has rated herself a 10 out of 10 in bed, while we all know what Mayer looks for in a companion.

Robert Pattinson on Kristen Stewart Apology : Unacceptable! Horrifying!

Kristen Stewart absolutely should NOT have issued a public apology after her affair with Rupert Sanders became tabloid and website fodder.

The Sun Times quotes a source who says Pattinson is "horrified" that Stewart took such a step because he's a "very, very proud man" and:

"The two of them had this very specific personal agreement about not ‘going public’ with their relationship, until they both agreed it was the right time. To do it this way - apologizing for cheating on him - ended up being totally unacceptable."

Is there any hope at all for Robsten? It's too early to say, although Robert has reportedly packed up and moved out.

The insider claims Pattinson is trying to remain in seclusion so he can "digest it all," but his stance on the public apology is clear:

“'She only had to call two people,'" Rob supposedly said afterward. ""Me and [Liberty Ross, Sanders’ wife].”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson met while filming the first ‘Twilight’ movie. From there, a romance blossomed, but the two young stars kept it all very private. As the years passed and the movies were released, the two started to open up about being in a relationship.

Stewart and Pattinson were caught a number of times in photos looking cuddly and cozy together. Pattinson also recently addressed a few rumors that included marriage in which he commented that it wasn’t happening just yet.

However, things seemed to change this just week as it was revealed that Stewart had cheated on her beau with her director, Rupert Sanders. Now, their current relationship status is unknown as Pattinson has not commented.
